After a worthy wait of 30 years, Texino is scheduled receive a real Big Boy mandolin. The instrument will be made from wood which came into the work shop at Williamson Mandolin looking like pieces of trees; square trees. Then Mr. Williamson, the elder started whacking on the wood with very sharp chisels. Well, first I think he used a fast electrical saw to make the top and back roughly the right size and shape. Then he did the chisel thing, and the last time I saw the wood it had turned into a sort of recognizable group of parts. (As you can see in the picture below.) The neck part is lying in front and it is a bit more boxy than I like them but I am sure Mr. Williamson will work with me on this...) <–––– That's a joke! I will tell you this. That is some very fine wood and if you pick up the top part and give it a rap with your hand, you will hear the music in there and that's not just some Texino mystic B.S. It is a true thing. I am really excited about this and will be letting a lot of people know when I get the instrument.

Other Sites I have some other web sites up and you can reach them over there on the left. The Banjo site is for laughs, but I would make it serious if someone wanted to. In fact it started out that way, but the people on the Banjo--L would not respond to my posts so I just put up some funny banjo things, but nothing mean. Other Texino sites are just there in case I publish a book or make a record; Vanity stuff. I'm really too old to expect any further success in music and with brain disease, it's kind of hard to know if my writing can stand up to the pressure of a story book. I guess that is why I am putting so much fantasy stuff on my blog. I hope someone will give it look and like my characters.

 

My Space I went and changed the main Texino my space site and it's now an "artist" site. The other Texino site I had was nice but it would not let me put up my music stuff plus a crazy person from Texas got on there and said I was a beautiful Angel and seemed to mean every word. I know that there are some fine angels in this world and maybe some other worlds too, but guess who is not one of them? OK? Fine.
